Forensic intelligence for digital businesses.
The Firm
Plumbline Intelligence produces forensic competitive intelligence reports on digital businesses. The work covers ownership and operator identification, content production forensics, backlink and authority analysis, monetization reverse-engineering, and pre-acquisition risk assessment – the operating reality behind a competitor or acquisition target, not just what surface metrics suggest.
A typical engagement produces a written report of 12 to 50 pages depending on scope, with a documented methodology section, sourced findings with confidence levels stated per finding, and specific strategic recommendations. Clients commission this work when they need to make a real decision – whether to acquire an asset, how to respond to a competitor, where their authority is actually coming from – and standard SEO tools don’t produce an answer.
The difference from standard competitive analysis is methodology and depth. Most competitive research runs a few tools and reports the numbers. This work cross-verifies findings across multiple independent sources, documents what couldn’t be determined alongside what was, and applies the same evidentiary standard to every claim. The deliverable holds up to scrutiny because that’s the only version worth producing.
The Investigator

Plumbline Intelligence is the work of Lasha Hetiia, who spent ten years in SEO – technical audits, content strategy, link building, affiliate site operations, and three years building a structured OSINT methodology on top of that foundation.
Before that, as a soldier. Military service instilled a specific discipline around evidence: you report what you can verify, you distinguish confirmed intelligence from inference, you document your sources, and you’re accountable for the gap between what you claimed and what was true. That standard is what’s missing from most competitive intelligence work.
That combination shapes the methodology. SEO experience makes the authority and traffic analysis technical and specific. The OSINT and investigative training makes the ownership and risk work rigorous. Findings are corroborated across independent sources before they are stated, and the report distinguishes clearly between what is verified, what is inferred, and what is unknown.
Why This Firm Exists
There is no shortage of tools that estimate a competitor’s traffic, list its keywords, and graph its backlinks. What almost no one provides is the layer beneath: who is really behind a business, how its position was actually built, whether its numbers are durable, and what risk is hidden in its structure.
Surface-level competitive analysis answers what a site ranks for. It rarely answers why it works, who benefits, or what would make it collapse – the questions that actually matter when you are deciding whether to compete with, buy, or build against a business. Plumbline exists to answer those.
Operating Principles
Every finding is sourced and reproducible. If it cannot be shown, it is not claimed.
The report says what the evidence supports — including when that is inconvenient for the conclusion a client was hoping for.
The question and the boundaries of every engagement are defined and agreed before the investigation begins.
Operating globally, working with clients across the US, Europe, and beyond.
